One person, dog displaced after fire on Madison’s west side

MADISON, Wis. — One person and their dog were displaced after a house fire early Thursday morning on Madison’s west side.

A Madison Fire Department spokesperson said the fire was reported at around 3:45 a.m. in the 900 block of Quaking Aspen Road. A 911 caller said they saw flames coming from the back deck of their home.

Firefighters responded to the scene and knocked the fire down just before 4:10 a.m. Crews then worked to ventilate the home, and Alliant Energy cut power to the home because wires were compromised by the fire…
