The Baked Lab storefront to open on Feb. 21

On Feb. 21, a 100-year-old building that’s stood dormant for more than 10 years will find new life as The Baked Lab. At 2044 Atwood Ave., a new storefront for Shawn Bolduc’s bakery concept will serve a rotating array of pastries, savory bites, coffee, beer and wine.

A self-trained baker, Bolduc started The Baked Lab in 2020, creating unique cakes and desserts for weddings and events. Soon after, he began teaching baking workshops — first virtually, then in person. Bolduc plans to continue taking dessert pre-orders and teaching in the new location.

The Baked Lab was previously run out of a commercial space on East Main Street. With a storefront, Bolduc is looking forward to having a space with cozy seating options where community members can connect over a drink or a sweet treat…
