Warner Dog Park remains closed after dog death, nothing of visible concern found

MADISON, Wis. — The Warner Dog Park was still closed Friday after a dog died suddenly following a trip to the park.

Madison Parks, in an update Thursday, said rangers and Public Health Madison & Dane County staff surveyed the park and found nothing of visible concern. Park staff is working with the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, and the dog that died was submitted for a diagnostic necropsy.

The cause of the dog’s death was still unknown as of Thursday, but parks staff said diagnostic tests have found no known risks to human or animal health…
