WHAT WE’RE TRACKING:
- Cold and breezy today
- Brief round of snow Tuesday
- Better chance of snow accumulation Wednesday night
PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Mostly cloudy conditions are going to stick around throughout the day. A few flurries will be possible, but we won’t see any accumulation. Cold and breezy conditions are expected today with gusts up to 30 mph at times and highs in the lower 20s. Wind chills could drop below zero during the morning and overnight hours.
EXTENDED FORECAST: After another cold day Monday, temperatures will warm up slightly for Tuesday. This will also be our next chance of snow as a brief round of snow showers will move through Tuesday afternoon, with some light rain possibly mixing in for southern Wisconsin. Minor accumulation is possible north of Madison. Wednesday into Thursday will bring in another chance of snow, and this round has a better potential for snowfall accumulation. While the track of this system could definitely change, the current expected track would bring the chance of accumulating snow Wednesday evening through Thursday morning. Snow totals right now are very uncertain, but stay tuned to News 3 Now for the latest updates. After that, temperatures will warm up briefly into the 40s Friday, but beyond that we’re expecting highs in the 20s and 30s going forward.
