Dear Editor: I would like to thank Precious Ayodabo for her recent commentary in the Cap Times (“Why I’m suing the city of Madison for not counting my ballot,” Feb. 8). I am a poll worker and have been for years. The message was always clear — make sure everyone can vote and make sure every vote is counted. That didn’t happen a year ago.
Those whose votes did not get counted have every right to be very angry and even sue the city, as much for the city blaming them for the uncounted ballots.
Mistakes were made — not by the voters but by the city. The voters did nothing wrong, and in fact did everything right, by voting — standing in a line for more than two hours to cast their ballots…
