High-speed pursuit in Wisconsin ends in crash, major drug seizure

(WFRV) – A 45-year-old Wisconsin man is now in custody on several charges, and at least 280 total grams of various drugs were seized after a high-speed pursuit early Saturday morning ended in a rollover crash.

According to a release from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, a Columbus police officer attempted to stop a speeding driver at 2:44 a.m. on Highway 151. The driver failed to comply, leading to a high-speed pursuit.

Officials say the pursuit continued into Dane County but ended in a rollover crash after the vehicle failed to navigate the exit at County Highway V to the north of Sun Prairie and left the roadway.

Deputies and officers approached the vehicle, finding the driver still inside. The suspect was said to be non-compliant and attempted to flee from the vehicle on foot down an embankment, but was arrested after the use of a stun gun…
