SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) – Sun Prairie police arrested a man and seized a machine gun after a license plate reader alert prompted a traffic stop Thursday night.
The Sun Prairie Police Department said officers received an automated alert around 8:20 p.m. Thursday tied to a vehicle connected to a stolen vehicle investigation. Authorities noted Dane County has recently seen an increase in Infiniti vehicles being stolen and used in other crimes.
