Dear Editor: I am writing to bring attention to ongoing concerns regarding animal welfare at the Ridglan Farms animal medical facility in Dane County, Wisconsin. Reports and public discussion surrounding this facility raise serious questions about whether animals are being treated in accordance with established legal and ethical standards.
I am currently working overseas in a high-risk environment, where long hours and security threats are part of daily life. Even under these conditions, I find myself unable to ignore what appears to be a deeply troubling situation involving animals that cannot speak for themselves. The fact that this issue has reached individuals like myself, far removed geographically, reflects the level of concern it has generated.
