Wisconsin Heights School District apologizes for controversial videos

MAZOMANIE, Wis. — Angry community members are demanding answers from Wisconsin Heights School District leaders after controversial videos filmed inside the high school by award-winning musician and alumna Skylar Grey sparked widespread backlash.

Parents and residents plan to voice their concerns during public comment at Monday’s school board meeting at 6 p.m., with many saying an apology from district leadership is not enough to address what they see as the inappropriate sexualization of their school.

“The artist knew what they wanted to do,” said Jacob Mills, a longtime Mazomanie resident. “It’s like you want somebody to sit this person down and say, didn’t you think maybe it should be done somewhere else?”…
