MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Students at UW-Madison’s student radio station WSUM are celebrating a recent winning streak of awards, including a top honor of best college station in the nation from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS).
WSUM, 91.7 FM, airs nearly 24 hours of music, talk, sports and news every day. After a series of successes across those departments, the radio station hosted a listening party on Sunday showcasing the award-winning work.
Katie Sander, a UW-Madison junior and WSUM station manager, said it feels amazing.
”It’s extremely exciting that we win an award like this,” she said. “It just makes all of the work that we’ve been putting in worth it.”…
