Madison father pleads not guilty in killing of daughter’s ex-boyfriend

MADISON, Wis. — A Madison father accused of killing his daughter’s ex-boyfriend in January pleaded not guilty during a court appearance on Tuesday, online court records show.

Jorge Baez, 68, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide stemming from a shooting on Jan. 25. Baez’s daughter, Melissa Basilio-Ruiz, 44, is charged with six counts of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
