Wisconsin DOJ names Verona sergeant involved in deadly shooting of suspect

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The Wisconsin Department of Justice named the Verona sergeant involved in the shooting of a man in the Town of Springdale earlier this month.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice said the officer who shot the suspect was Verona Police Department Sergeant Trevor Runkle.

Sgt. Runkle has 13 years of law enforcement experience. Runkle has been on leave since the deadly shooting, which is agency policy in this situation…
