MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A teacher has been placed on leave at Vel Phillips Memorial High School after reports of an alleged inappropriate relationship with a student, Madison Metropolitan School District officials confirmed Wednesday.
Dr. Joe Gothard, MMSD superintendent, said that the Madison Police Department have been notified of the situation and are actively investigating.
“I sincerely apologize to students and families who have been impacted by this situation,” Gothard said. “These situations rattle an entire community, and our team has support systems in place to help those who need additional assistance.”…
