On March 29, 2026, around 3:55 PM, the Fort Atkinson Fire Department responded to a fast-moving brush fire near W3300 Lower Hebron Road in Hebron Township. The fire spread quickly, engulfing a large barn and part of a nearby home’s garage. Crews rescued a family dog and kept the damage to a small section of the garage. A second home had minor siding and smoke damage. One firefighter was treated and released from the hospital. In total, 12 fire departments and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
