Dane County lake levels steady after storms, but experts watching impact of recent runoff

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – After last week’s heavy rain and storms, Dane County lakes may look normal—but experts say what those storms washed into the water could have a bigger impact in the months ahead.

County leaders say conditions are right where they should be for this time of year.

“We work really hard to make sure that we’re prepared for the amount of rain that’s coming down in the spring,” said Dane County Executive Melissa Agard. “We’re super thrilled with the lake levels, despite the fact that we had so much rain last week.”…
