Wheeler High School graduate Hayden Hamilton lived each day during her high school years by her favorite mantra: “You have to stick out like a nail in the wall, because you have an image to uphold.”
By staying focused on her long-term goals, the Class of 2026 graduate said she never worried about standing out among her peers, because it’s what made her unique. It’s advice she said she hopes her underclassmen will continue to live by.
“I didn’t always fit in with my peers around me,” Hamilton, 18, said. “(I tell my friends) you might not fit in right now, and that’s okay because you are doing something that they’re not trying to do.”…
