Disturbing details emerge in case of mom arrested over death of 1-year-old son forced to eat roaches and ants

The detective who investigated the death of a one-year-old Georgia boy found in a home where he had apparently been left to eat roaches and ants has revealed new information about the investigation.

The grim story was related to a court during a bond hearing for the child’s mother, Sherry Magby, 37, of Douglas County, who has been charged with five counts of child cruelty. Magby allegedly left her six children, including one-year-old Jacob Slanton, alone at their insect-infested home for up to 12 hours per day.
