Jarvis Prothro, 46, of Lithia Springs, is accused of trafficking ecstasy on Aug. 14 at 1:21 a.m. at the intersection of Old Powder Springs and Old Bankhead in Mableton, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
Prothro, operating a black Chevrolet Impala, attempted to flee police after initially stopping for a traffic stop. He fled at over 70 mph in a 25 mph posted speed limit, struck a power pole, disabling a power line and then fled on foot. Prothro’s vehicle had a window tint that registered 9% after being tested by the police department issued window tint meter on all four windows, according to the warrant.
Police located inside Prothro’s vehicle a black bag in the back left seat that contained a white pill bottle that contained 113 multi-color pills suspected to be MDMA, which weighed 49 grams; a green prescription bottle with nine clear baggies which contained a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine, packaged in small portions and separately for sales; a clear glass container labeled “farmapram” and beneath it small lettering “Alprazolam,” which contained 50 white suspected Alprazolam bars; two orange pill containers with no labeling – one pill bottle containing 56 white oval shaped pills with the imprint M523 and the other containing 34 of the same pills; and an orange pill bottle with no labeling containing 52 pills with the imprint 15 on the front and the imprint of b 777 on the back, suspected to be Adderall, according to the warrant…
