SMYRNA — On the southern edge of Smyrna, along the Chattahoochee River, homes and businesses are popping up where industrial areas once dominated.
Since 2020, the south Smyrna gateway area has seen an influx of development, with over 1,500 residential units, including multifamily residences and single-family homes, completed or under development.
Underutilized industrial properties along the corridor were assessed at approximately $75 million around 2020.
