Weekend events jeopardized as hurricane inches closer

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Atlanta officials are monitoring the potential effects of Hurricane Isaias as it moves toward Georgia, with a decision on whether several weekend events will proceed expected Friday morning, Mayor Andre Dickens said.

The events include the Mayor’s 5K on the 5th Runway, Atlanta Pride’s festival and parade, SpelHouse Homecoming and the Duke-Georgia Tech football game. As of Thursday, all remained scheduled.
