Swig, the Utah-based chain known for its customizable “dirty sodas,” plans to open a new location in Woodstock at 9980 GA Highway 92, with construction plans calling for the conversion of an existing building into a drive-thru. The building sits at the busy intersection of Highway 92, also known as Alabama Road, and Main Street, and it’s currently occupied by a longstanding Subway restaurant.
According to WhatNow, the construction plans describe transforming the existing building into a Swig drive-thru location, though an opening timeline remains unclear. WhatNow reports it reached out to Swig for additional details on the Woodstock project but did not hear back prior to publication.
Per ToneToATL, the Subway location will soon close to make way for the new Swig. The building, constructed in 1987, measures 2,296 square feet and sits on about half an acre, and the site’s existing drive-thru lane is expected to be retained for Swig’s use once the conversion is complete.
Part of a Bigger Atlanta-Area Push
The Woodstock project follows Swig’s debut in metro Atlanta earlier in October, when the chain opened its first Brookhaven location.
