MARIETTA — A zoning application for a proposed indoor pickleball facility at the site of a former east Cobb Walmart was approved by the county Board of Commissioners during its regular zoning hearing Tuesday.
Commissioners voted 4-0, with Commissioner Erick Allen absent, to approve renovating the former grocery store into a multipurpose development which will include several pickleball courts, golf simulators, a sports bar and restaurant.
The site, located at 3101 Roswell Road, is within the Olde Mill shopping center, at the intersection of Old Canton Road and Roswell Road. It was formerly home to a Walmart Neighborhood Market, which closed in 2024…
