Volunteers deploy across metro Atlanta for head count of the homeless

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Volunteers took to the streets of Atlanta Monday night to begin gathering information about Atlanta’s homeless population. It’s part of an annual survey known as the Point in Time count, mandated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The results impact how much federal funding communities receive to fight homelessness.
