Mistreatment at Fulton County Tax Office in Greenbriar Mall

On January 24, 2024, an unidentified young woman visited the Fulton County Tax Commissioner Office located at 2841 Greenbriar Pkwy SW, Atlanta, GA 30331. Unfortunately, her visit was far from satisfactory. Around 8:55 a.m., the young woman entered the tax office seeking a new Georgia tag, as she had recently relocated from Florida. Throughout her time there, she experienced a barbaric and dictatorial treatment. The young lady expressed her astonishment at encountering such an unpleasant situation with state employees, something she had never experienced before moving to Georgia. All she wanted was a tag to legally operate within the state. However, one of the employees responsible for greeting customers responded in a discourteous manner, stating, “WE DO NOT TAKE CASH.” Undeterred, the young woman calmly informed the employee that she intended to pay with her debit card. Nevertheless, the employee, adopting a nastier tone, repeated, “I SAID WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH.” The young woman politely reminded the employee that she had already understood the initial statement. Subsequently, she took a number, A012, to await her turn. When her number was called, she proceeded to window 9, where she encountered another rude employee named Teneka Brooks. The young woman felt that she was not greeted properly by Teneka, who asked, “HOW CAN I HELP YOU” with an impertinent attitude. The young woman explained that she was there to inquire about obtaining a tag, as it was her first time in the State of Georgia. Teneka requested her identification, Georgia insurance, old registration, and vehicle title. The young woman informed Teneka that she was still making payments on her vehicle. In response, Teneka demanded that she contact her lienholder to obtain the fax number, so that a document could be sent to release the title from the State of Florida to the State of Georgia. Feeling overwhelmed by the demands, the young woman requested to speak to a manager.
