Atlanta’s Crime Epidemic: Worse than Brooklyn

Georgia is well recognized for it’s southern hospitality. The streets of Atlanta hosts a slew of fine dining restaurants, and upper echelon businesses. There are tons of beautiful homes with well manichured lawns. You are welcome to go into any food chain and ask for “sweat tea” and get as many refills as you please.

Yet, and still, crime rates continues to rise. According to reports, Atlanta is ranking higher in violent crimes and in crimes involving property than in Brooklyn, New York.

According to the data, violent crime is described as: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. Property crime is described as: burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson.

One real estate agent, who also has a youtube channel, described Atlanta as being crime filled and relating it to U.S Data.

The realtor also mentioned that though there are plenty of homes, majority of the homes have not been modernized.

Amidst a slew of other reasons not to move to Atlanta, the top reason for most people is because of the rising crime rates.
