Atlanta woman sentenced in multi-million dollar COVID fraud scheme

ATLANTA – An Atlanta woman learned her fate Tuesday after being convicted of bank fraud for her role in a multi-million dollar COVID-19 fraud scheme. Khadijah X. Chapman, 59, of Atlanta, was sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison for fraudulently obtaining and misusing Paycheck Protection Program, or PPP, loans under the CARES Act in a fraud ring with two others, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
