Little Brazil Foundation Hosts First Community Fair

MARIETTA — Members of the community gathered to share traditional food and Brazilian culture during the Little Brazil Foundation’s inaugural Community Fair on Saturday.

Held in the East Gate Shopping Center parking lot off of South Marietta Parkway, the fair celebrated local Brazilian businesses and services from about 14 different vendors.

Dilla Campos, founder and president of the Little Brazil Foundation, explained that the fair was designed to promote community involvement among different Cobb County residents.

While the majority of attendees were Brazilian, some non-Brazilian residents joined the festivities, including Kevin Redmon.

“My wife’s from Puerto Rico, her father’s here from Colombia, so we had a real interest in seeing another Latin American country’s experience,” Redmon said.

Launched in April, the foundation serves the growing Brazilian community in the Cobb and metro Atlanta area, offering them legal assistance, professional guidance, translation services and consulate support.
