Hurricane Francine is forecast to make landfall along the Louisiana coast this evening and quickly track northward into Mississippi while weakening. The forecast track does not and will not include Georgia; however, impacts (primarily an isolated flooding risk) may still occur in the region between Thursday and Saturday. While the risk for tornadoes remains low, there is an isolated, brief tornado potential across portions of West Georgia, mainly late Thursday.
