Former Employee Accused of Burglary and Theft at Kroger

David Elijah Cousin, 33, of Marietta, is accused of burglary and theft at the Kroger #730 at 1310 Powers Ferry Road in Marietta, on Oct. 18 at 11:23 p.m., according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

Cousin was terminated by Kroger on Oct. 5. On Oct. 18 at 11:23 p.m., Cousin entered the Kroger after it closed and stole the keys to the Kroger Fuel Center outside from the customer service desk. He then entered the fuel center, used a code to disable the electronic alarm panel, unlocked the safe and stole $928, according to the warrant.

Cousin is charged with four counts of burglary – second degree; four counts of theft by taking – less than $1,500; and four counts of computer theft. He was arrested on Nov. 1 at 5:47 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.

Cousin remains in custody. Bond was set at $10,000.
