Smyrna Woman Accused of Stabbing

Tonia Benjamin, 43, of Smyrna, is accused of stabbing a man in the abdomen with a knife on Oct. 25 at 4:40 a.m. at a residence at 1488 Bells Ferry Road in Marietta. Benjamin admitted to stabbing the victim because he was bothering her, according to an arrest warrant from the Marietta Police Department.

Benjamin is charged with aggravated assault weapon. She was arrested Oct. 25 at 9:30 a.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.

Benjamin remains in custody without bond.
