Michael Jarel Coleman, 33, of Marietta, is accused of kicking in the door to a woman’s Marietta apartment armed with a firearm on Dec. 28 at 6:52 p.m., according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
Coleman pointed a Mossberg 702 “Plinkster” semi-automatic rifle at the victim and threatened to “shoot the place up and kill everyone in there,” which included the victim’s juvenile daughter, according to the warrant.
Coleman is charged with burglary home invasion – first degree; aggravated assault weapon; terroristic threats; and cruelty to children – third degree. He was arrested on Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.
Coleman remains in custody without bond.
