Police blocked off a section of a southwest Atlanta neighborhood as they search for a suspect wanted in a fatal shooting Monday afternoon.
Officers were called to a home on Holderness Street in the West End neighborhood after getting reports of a shooting just before 3 p.m., Atlanta police confirmed. At the scene, they found a 19-year-old with a gunshot wound who was unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead by medical personnel, police said.
No further details have been released about the incident, including the identity of the victim or the circumstances around the shooting.
Police blocked off the length of Holderness Street, a short dead-end road in a residential neighborhood of single-family homes that hugs I-20 between Enota Park and West End Park.
