ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A welfare check on Friday afternoon led to a man barricading himself for hours in a southwest Atlanta apartment that had two dead bodies inside, according to police.
Atlanta police said they responded to 835 Oglethorpe Avenue, the address for the Oglethorpe Place apartment complex, to conduct a welfare check around 2:50 p.m.
When they arrived, officers met a man at an apartment “who refused to cooperate with the investigation and indicated that he would harm himself and others.”…
