Brookhaven traffic stop leads to discovery of multiple illegal drugs

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A traffic stop along the Buford Hwy corridor on March 1 turned into the discovery of a plethora of illegal drugs, according to Brookhaven Police.

During the stop, officers detected the odor of marijuana, which is illegal in the state of Georgia. Further search revealed a drug stash, including:

  • 6 grams of cocaine
  • 1 gram of crack cocaine
  • 12 grams of methamphetamine
  • Over 2 ounces of marijuana
  • 10 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
  • 12 grams of MDMA/Ecstasy gummies
  • 1 ounce of MDMA/Ecstasy pills
  • 7 hydrocodone pills
