Missing Georgia Boy Found in Colorado After Seven Years; Two Arrested for Kidnapping

A 14-year-old boy who had been missing for more than seven years was found safe in Colorado after Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a trespass call on February 23, 2025.

Deputies arrived at a home on Kelliwood Way in Highlands Ranch around 3:37 p.m. after the homeowner, monitoring security cameras, reported suspicious activity. Upon arrival, officers found two children in a vehicle parked in the driveway and later encountered a man and woman exiting the house, claiming to be connected to a realtor. Their identities could not be immediately verified, leading to a four-hour investigation.

The female suspect was identified as 40-year-old Rabia Khalid, who had an active felony warrant for kidnapping. Further investigation confirmed that one of the children was Abdul Aziz Khan, who had been abducted by Khalid from Atlanta, Georgia, on November 27, 2017. The U.S. Marshals Service had been searching for him for years.

Khalid and 42-year-old Elliot Blake Bourgeois were arrested and booked into the Douglas County Jail. Both face charges of Second-Degree Kidnapping, Forgery, Identity Theft, Providing False Information to Authorities, and Trespassing. Their bonds were each set at $1 million…
