A multi-state murder investigation led by a coalition of law enforcement agencies, including the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the Oglethorpe County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, and City of Denton Police Department, has culminated in a series of grave charges against 29-year-old North Carolina resident Michael Thomas Dusch. Dusch, hailing from West End in Moore County, stands accused of a slew of crimes, with the charges spanning from Malice Murder to Identity Fraud.
In the small town of Winterville, GA, an ominous 911 call on the evening of February 25, alerted the Oglethorpe County Sheriff’s Office to a grim discovery: the body of a man on a property off Double Bridges Road. The victim, later identified as David J. Stewart, was retrieved and transported to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to ascertain the narrative of his death.
