Man Charged with Firing Gun While Drunk at Delk Road Hotel

James Edward Johnson, 27, of Atlanta, is accused of firing four shots from a gun at another man approximately 50 meters away while intoxicated on March 8 at 3:30 a.m. at The Courtyard Marriott hotel, 2455 Delk Road in Marietta, according to an arrest warrant from the Marietta Police Department.

Johnson interjected himself into a domestic dispute, got into a fist fight with another man, left, got a gun and found the man again. A preliminary breath test sample indicated the presence of alcohol in his system, according to the warrant.

Johnson is charged with discharge weapon under the influence. He was arrested on March 8 at 5 a.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
