ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Cobb County police said a “severely neglected” dog discovered by officers has found a new home with a department employee.
The Cobb County Police Department said in a social media post Friday that their Violent Incident Prevention and Early Response (VIPER) Unit found the dog while executing a search warrant during a homicide investigation.
Police said animal control took custody of the dog before one of the department’s criminal intelligence analysts adopted her, giving her “a second chance at life.”
