Severe Storms and Heavy Rain Pummel the Southeast from Tennessee to the Gulf Coast

March 30, 2025 – A powerful weather system is bringing severe storms, heavy rainfall, and the potential for flash flooding across the Southeast, stretching from Tennessee to the central Gulf Coast, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Prediction Center.

Strong thunderstorms are expected to develop tonight across the Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys before pushing eastward Monday. The Storm Prediction Center has issued an Enhanced Risk warning for severe weather, with large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes possible in parts of Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas.
