18-Year-Old Indicted on Murder Charge Following Prom After-Party

An 18-year-old Smyrna resident has been indicted on murder charges in connection to a shooting during a prom after-party that killed a former Campbell High School student.

The suspect, Carlos Diaz, is accused of shooting 17-year-old Smyrna resident Ashton Hornsby in the parking lot of West Cobb Plaza on New MacLand Road, in Powder Springs, resulting in his death.
