Pair Accused of Stealing Cars from Day’s Chevrolet

Christopher White of Jonesboro and Jeffrey Lynn West of Riverdale are accused of conspiracy to steal motor vehicles from Day’s Chevrolet, 3693 Cobb Parkway NW in Acworth, on Jan. 20 at 3 a.m., according to an arrest warrant from the Acworth Police Department.

White and West used an Autel key programmer to unlock and start a 2021 Chevrolet Camero, valued between $26,000 and $55,000, and a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, valued between $20,000 and $40,000. Then using a cordless saw, they cut through the lock of the exit gate and drove away with both vehicles. White and West also used a car window breaker tool to bust out the rear passenger side window and enter a 2023 Cadillac CTS-V. The damage to the CTS-V and the front gate lock were estimated at $2,500 plus. White and West are tied to several similar style motor vehicle thefts across the metro area, according to the warrants.

White and West are charged with two counts of theft by taking – greater than $1,500; entering automobile or other motor vehicle with intent to commit theft or felony; possession of tools; criminal damage – second degree; and conspiracy to commit crime felony…
