Pair Charged with Trafficking Meth and Fentanyl in Marietta

Irma Martinez, 63, of Marietta, and Mario Mendoza Garcia of Marietta, are accused of trafficking drugs on April 22, according to arrest warrants from the Cobb County Police Department.

Garcia drove over the solid white line on multiple occasions on April 22 at 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Powder Springs Street and Bellemeade Drive in Marietta. Garcia and Martinez are both accused of trafficking approximately 1000.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine that was located in a silver metal box in the center console of the vehicle. Garcia was also driving without a valid driver’s license, had an expired Mexico Consular ID, and less than 1 gram of cocaine in a small clear bag inside of his black wallet, according to the warrants.

Police executed a search warrant at a mobile home at 153 York Road in Marietta, in the Lamplighter Village community, on April 22 at 7: p.m. and located 10.1 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine in a bedroom.
