Cobb Superintendent Sounds Alarm Over Apartment Growth Impact on Schools

MARIETTA — Despite raising the alarm year after year, Cobb Superintendent Chris Ragsdale said the school district’s concerns over the growing rate of apartment development in the county was being met with “what seems to be just a lack of care.”

The superintendent called out the Cobb County Board of Commissioners, the city of Powder Springs and others involved in the zoning process during a presentation from education consultant James Wilson for the district’s annual demographics study.
