Murder suspect shot by passenger as he tried to steal trucker’s rig to flee police

A murder suspect was shot in the leg by a semi truck passenger as he tried to steal the rig from the truck driver.

The incident happened over the weekend on Sunday, May 18th in Baldwin County, Alabama. The suspect, 28-year-old Mike Thomas, was wanted in connection to a murder in Georgia.

According to Center Daily Times, Thomas first ran from police in connection to a murder in East Point, Georgia, where he shot at officers as he fled. Thomas fled police in his car, and was eventually stopped by spike strips. He then fled on foot before eventually running up on a truck driver in his semi truck. The murder suspect then reportedly struck the truck driver in the head multiple times with a pistol before being shot in the leg by a passenger in the semi truck…
