ATLANTA — A West End Atlanta day care is under state investigation after a mother said she was hired on the spot and placed alone with infants—without undergoing a background check, fingerprinting, or even presenting identification.
The woman, who spoke exclusively to 11Alive, said she reported the incident to Georgia’s Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL), which has launched a formal inquiry.
The incident occurred at Angel’s Paradise Higher Learning Academy on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard.
