Johnkea Baity, 33, of Marietta, is accused of aggressively handling a one-year-old toddler on video on May 15 at 12:28 p.m. at First Step Learning Center, 1060 Franklin Gateway SE in Marietta, according to an arrest warrant from the Marietta Police Department.
Baity was seen on video at 12:28 p.m. grabbing the toddler, who was sitting up next to her mattress on the floor, aggressively pushing the toddler several times with her right hand onto the mattress, forcing the child to get on her stomach and lay there. At 12:53 p.m., Baity is seen on the video aggressively handling the toddler by her left wrist, dragging and dangling her by her feet in the air for seconds at a time until she falls on the ground. Baity then aggressively lifted the toddler by the right wrist and walked/dragged the victim across the room, with her feet dangling in the air for seconds at a time, according to the warrant.
In a different video, Baity was observed aggressively picking up the toddler by her right hand, turning her around, putting her back on her stomach on top the mattress, facing away from Baity, then pushing the mattress away causing the mattress and the toddler to slide a few feet, according to the warrant…
