Juneteenth celebrations march on in Georgia amid national DEI reversals and cutbacks

MARIETTA, Ga. – Selina and Howie Newton were first-time visitors at Marietta’s Juneteenth festival, but the anniversary of the official end of slavery in America has always been a big deal in their household.
