Cupid calls for ‘more constructive dialogue’ from Cobb Schools amid zoning concerns

MARIETTA — Despite concerns about overcrowding from the Cobb County School District, several county commissioners voted to move forward with a proposed 300-unit apartment building Tuesday, citing a lack of communication from school district officials.

The Board of Commissioners voted 3-2, with commissioners JoAnn Birrell and Keli Gambrill opposed, to approve apartments on South Cobb Parkway near Cumberland Mall.
