Georgia man charged with forging luxury car titles in South Carolina fraud case

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A Georgia man is facing several charges in South Carolina after a state investigation found he allegedly altered multiple car titles and presented the falsified information to a government agency.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said 32-year-old Johnquell Deshauwn Booker of Atlanta was arrested and charged with four counts of forgery, each valued at $10,000 or more.

All four incidents reportedly occurred in early October of 2024. Arrest warrants claim that Booker knowingly presented altered titles for a 2024 BMW and a 2019 Porsche Cayenne to the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles on Oct. 2. He then reportedly presented altered titles for a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2020 Lexus on Oct. 11.
