FAIR OAKS — Families began lining up as early as 4:30 a.m. Friday for a back-to-school bash where backpacks, diapers, school supplies, lunch, produce and more were distributed at Pearson Middle School
That was a lengthy wait given the event didn’t start until 11 a.m.
The free event for Cobb School District families helps them prepare for the upcoming school year. Inside, every lunch table and hallway was filled; outside, families lined around the block. Parents held umbrellas over their children to escape the direct sun beating down…
